image of Hydrazonoyl Halides as Key Precursors for the Synthesis of Arylazo and Arylhydrazo Thiazoles

Abstract

Hydrazonoyl halides are versatile precursors in organic synthesis and are widely employed for constructing heterocyclic frameworks, including arylazo and hydrazo thiazoles. These compounds exhibit significant biological activities, including antimicrobial, antitumor, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties, as well as have applications in agrochemicals, optoelectronics, and dyes. This review highlights the utility of hydrazonoyl halides in synthesizing arylazo and hydrazo thiazoles, focusing on reaction mechanisms, synthetic strategies, and functional modifications. Advances in green chemistry, catalyst-assisted methods, and computational tools to optimize synthesis are also discussed. By exploring the synthetic versatility and applications of thiazole-based compounds, this study aims to inspire further development of novel compounds in diverse fields.
