Abstract

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are being increasingly deployed in military, health care, health monitoring, environmental and several other applications. However, design and deployment of WSNs have several challenges. In this paper, we present the challenges in deploying WSNs for different applications. The challenges in the design of communication infrastructure have also been discussed. Effects of using mobile base stations have been discussed for improving the lifetime of the network.
