Abstract

Ionic liquids (ILs) are essential in green chemistry. In this study, we have synthesized and characterized novel ILs that have two heterocyclic ring systems. IL is synthesized by two different synthetic pathways. The first synthetic pathway is method A that consists of two steps. The first step of reactions involved the synthesis of IL with 1,3-thiazole ring systems, followed by the second step synthesis of 1,3-thiazole and 1,2,4-triazole-5-on ring systems. The second synthetic pathway is method B that consists of three steps. IL was synthesized by both methods A and B to confirm that the FT-IR, 1HNMR, 13C-NMR, and Mass analysis was performed on the chemical structures.
