A Synthesis of a New Pyrano[3,2-c] Quinolinedione Derivative Assisted by Microwaves

A new pyrano[3,2-c] quinolinedione derivative was synthesized in three steps starting from Nmethylanthranilic acid. The synthesis was accomplished using both conventional thermal methods and microwave assisted procedures. The syntheses are more convenient when the microwaves are employed because of shorter reaction times, the elimination of waste solvents, and improved chemical yields.
