Abstract
An efficient amethodology for direct -thiocyanation of enolisable ketones using Cerium ammonium nitrate (CAN) and ammonium thiocyanates in presence of 18-Crown-6 at room temperature. The α- thiocyanoketones were obtained in excellent yields.
