Abstract

Aim: To improve the smart cart application for better user flexibility. Background: Users are able to easily purchase products using a smart cart. We have designed a strategy for these smart carts such that a person does not have to stand in a queue for their bill. The stock update is automatically recorded in the server. Objective: The objective of this work is to find an alternate solution for shopping that is timesaving. Methods: We have used the radio-frequency identification mechanism for data transmission and have used a server for storing the information of stocks. Results: The system is observed to exhibit efficient performance. Conclusion: We have proven that it is possible to reduce the billing time by using our smart cart application and that product identification via image processing is also possible.
