Throughout this chapter, we will study Holotropic therapy that is a way toproduce an altered state of consciousness without drugs. This is done withhyperventilation by making an individual deeply and rapidly breathe for severalminutes, and it is also accompanied by music and some verbal guidance from theperson who leads the session. This technique allows the individual to explore his or herinner world and perform an auto exploration that serves as psychotherapy helpful forseveral mental conditions.
