Abstract

This review focuses on a literature survey of the uses and the different approaches for the syntheses of tertiary and secondary phosphines. In addition, their applications in organic synthesis are briefly overviewed along with basic methods for their preparation and physical properties are also discussed. Where possible, the relative advantages of ditertiary and disecondary phosphines in important organic reactions are often industrially important organic reactions that are also compared.
