This chapter describes the protocols to measure intraocular pressure (IOP) in guinea pigs. The process consists of many steps and sub-steps, including the preparation of the animal, the preparation of the TonoVet-Plus® rebound tonometer, and finally, the measurement of IOP itself. Healthy animals free of ocular morphological abnormalities or disease states should be chosen for inclusion before beginning the protocol. Following this series of steps will ensure that IOP readings are taken accurately and with precision.
