Due to the growing amount of data collected and generated, organizations are pressured to make sense of this data and use it to inform their decisions. DD-DSS (data-driven decision support system) is a computerized program that helps organizations make decisions, judgments, and plans by analyzing large amounts of data. Machine learning and statistical analysis are typically used to build these decision support systems, so combining expert knowledge with data gathered from various sources reduces the risk of making poor decisions and provides insight into the impact of different strategies before they are implemented. This article aims to enumerate the benefits of DD-DSS implementation, and the features associated with it, as well as explore the scope, frameworks used, and applications of DD-DSS in healthcare. The research was conducted through a combination of a literature review and case studies of various frameworks and applications implemented based on DD-DSS.
