The bovine leukemia virus (BLV) is responsible for the enzootic bovineleukosis, an infectious lympho-proliferative disease of the cattle. This can result ineconomic fatalities for the cattle industry as it is responsible for the low productivityand low milk production, higher early culling in turn increasing the death rates withhigh charges on the prevention measures of the outbreaks. This chapter summarizes theoccurrence, diagnosis, preventative, and therapeutic approaches in managing bovineleukemia.
