In this chapter, the possibilities to improve in vitro diagnostic tests by providing more sensitive detection technologies and better nano-labels devices will be reviewed.
New therapeutic approaches based on the miniaturization of devices and targeted delivery systems are discussed as well.
Particular attention has been devoted to the development and use of “theragnostic” platforms and molecular imaging technologies which allow to systematically monitor the care process.
